Revelation of God

My concept of God based on the Bible is that He is a loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, and eternal being who created us in his own image and likeness. Also, God is a personal God who desires friendship with us and is actively involved in our lives, for He is Sovereign. ?To "know" God, a person can: Experience God's presence and work through personal encounters, prayer, and worship, Study and understand biblical teachings about God's character, attributes, and actions. Observe God's handiwork in creation, providence, and the lives of others.

While the Bible is a primary source of knowledge about God, it is possible to understand God apart from the Bible through General revelation- God's existence and character can be inferred from creation, conscience, and human experience, Reason and Philosophy- Philosophical arguments and reasoning can lead to an understanding of God's existence and attributes, and last but not the least Personal experience- Direct experiences of God's presence, guidance, or intervention can provide knowledge of God.
