Consider the reversible Carnot cycle shown below with 1 mol of an ideal gas with CV = 3/2R as the working substance. The initial isothermal expansion occurs at the hot reservoir temperature of Thot = 400°C from an initial volume of 3.0L (Va) to a volume of 12.0 L (Vb).

The system then undergoes an isothermal compression and a subsequent adiabatic compression until the initial state described by Ta=400C and Va=3.0L is reached.

A.) Calculate Vc and Vd

D.) Calculate q, deltaU, and deltaH for each step in the cycle and the ttoal cycle.

E.) Calculate deltaS, deltaSsurroundings, and deltaStotal for each step in the cycle and the total cycle.
