Figure 9.14 shows a heat exchanger in which each o f two DN 150 Schedule 40 pipes carries 450 L/min of water. The pipes are inside a rectangular duct whose inside dimensions are 200 mm by 400 mm. Compute the velocity of flow in the pipes. Then, compute the required volume flow rate of water in the duct to obtain the same average velocity.
