In the analysis of the wind acting on a small church, the forces transmitted to each roof truss panel are as shown in FigQ2. Treat the structure as a symmetrical truss and neglect any horizontal component of the support reaction at A (i.e. assume roller support at A).

b. Identify the truss member which supports the largest force, tension or compression and calculate this force.
