Steam flows through a small turbine at a rate of 10,000 kg/h, entering at 600 °C and 2.0 MPa and emerging at 0.01 MPa with 4 % moisture (moisture is the % of the total mass that is saturated liquid). The flow enters at 50m/s at a point 2m above the discharge and leaves at 80 m/s. 1. Compute the shaft work output of the turbine, assuming adiabatic operation, but including kinetic and potential energy changes.
