Question - The Meyer Manufacturing Company manufactures woolen mittens that require processing in two departments, A and B. During the month of October, Department A completed 10,500 mittens, of which 8,000 were transferred to Department B. There were 500 mittens in process in Department A and 300 in Department B on October 1. During the month, 15,000 additional mittens were started in production in Department A; no additional units were added by Department B. All 7,000 mittens completed during the month were transferred from Department B to the finished goods storeroom. The remaining units for Departments A and B were still in process on October 31.
