Silver chloride (AgCl) is used as an antimicrobial compound in fabric. A chemistry student tried to make AgCl in the lab by mixing 0.200L of 0.200M silver nitrate (AgNO3) with 0.400L of 0.150M sodium chloride (NaCl). The reaction of aq AgNO3 and aq NaCl produces solid AgCl and aq sodium nitrate.

(a) Write the balanced molecular equation, complete ionic equation, and net equation for the process.

(b) Calculate the moles of silver nitrate and sodium chloride.

(c) Which reactant is the limiting reagent?

(d) Determine the theoretical yield in grams of silver chloride formed.
