A rectangular block of mass M has a hemispherical cavity of radius a carved out on its upper surface. A particle of mass m can slide on the frictionless hemispherical surface of this large block, which rests on a horizontal surface with static friction coefficient s. Compute the minimum value of static friction coefficient thus that the block will not move if the particle is released from the edge of the carved surface.
