Two applicants are competing for an encoding job which requires a high degree of accuracy. Under time pressure, they are not allowed to edit their work before printing a hard copy. Samples of their work are studied to measure the number of typing errors they make per page. The results are as follows:

Encoder A: 2, 0, 3, 0 , 5, 8, 10 and

Encoder B: 3, 2, 4, 3, 5, 5, 6

a. Compute the measures of central tendency and explain briefly your observations on whom of this two encoders must be hired.

b. Compute the mean deviation, standard deviation and coefficient of variation and explain briefly your observations on whom of this two encoders must be hired.

c. Based on the different measurement of data you are using, what is your most important bases to hire any of these encoders (choose only one)? Support your answer.
