The enthalpy of melting ice is + 6.0 kJ/mol. A sample of 1.0 g ice 0.000 °C is dropped into 18.0 g of liquid water at 22.000 °C. The ice melts and then dissolves and mixes with the water. Calculate the final temperature of the water and ice together once they have reached thermal equilibrium. The specific heat capacity of water is 4.184 J/g°C.
