The reaction between N2 and H2 to produce NH3 is an important industrial process. Using the information from your text and handouts (you may assume ideal gasses) calculate the equilibrium constant for this reaction at 400 ºC? What total pressure is required to make ?G < -500 J mol-1 at this temperature? At this temperature and pressure what are the mole fractions of all components after equilibrium is reached if the input stream contains three times more H2 as N2?
