Question - Lionel Co produces a single product, food for pet bunnies. The company has set the following standards for materials and labour:

During the past month, the company purchased X kilograms of direct materials at a cost of 12 $ per kilogram. All this material was used in the production of 2 750 units of product. Direct labour cost totaled $65 282 for the month. The following variances have been computed:

Materials price variance $10500 U

Materials quantity variance $2225 U

Required - For direct materials, compute the actual quantity purchased, the standard quantity allowed for materials in total for the month's production, and the standard quantity per unit of product.
