Course outcome:
HS312-3: Compute inferential statistics using a provided sample data set.
Instructions
In Course Documents, locate the data file (dietstudy.xlsx). The data in this file represent the before and after weights of thirty people who participated in a study. The study objective was to determine how well a specific diet worked in helping people lose weight. The "Weight before" is the baseline weight of each person before starting the diet. The "Weight after" is the weight of each person after completing the diet. Use PSPP to conduct the analysis and produce the output for a paired-samples t test.
Your output needs to display the following statistics:
For each group, show the mean, number, standard deviation, and standard error of the mean.
For the paired samples test, show the lower and upper limits of the interval at 95% confidence, the t score, the degrees of freedom, and the t score significance.
Submitting Your Work
Save your relevant PSPP output into a Word document. Make certain to include a heading that includes your name and the unit assignment. Save the Word file using the proper naming convention and submit to the Dropbox
To view your graded work, come back to the Dropbox or go to the Gradebook after your instructor has evaluated it. Make sure that you save a copy of your submitted project.
