Question: An economist wants to know what fraction of workers in a factory sometimes smoke marijuana on the job. She collects a random sample of 100 workers. To allay their fears she conducts the investigation indirectly. Each worker is assigned a number between 00 and 99. Anyone whose number is between 00 and 69 is asked to answer yes or no as to whether they sometimes use marijuana on the job. The other workers must answer yes or no to a trivial question such as "Do you ever wish you won a lottery?" The results were as follows: 44% of the responses were yes. What fraction would we estimate answer yes to the marijuana question?
