Question - Heart Company produces window pulls, which are inspected at the end of production. Spoilage may occur because window pull is improperly stamped or molded. Any spoilage in excess of 3 percent of the completed good units is considered abnormal. Direct material is added at the start of production. Labor and overhead are incurred evenly throughout the production.

The company's May 2022 production and cost data follow:

Assume Heart Company uses Average Method and the spoiled goods were detected when conversion was 30% complete.

Required -

A. Compute for the Total EUP for conversion costs.

B. Compute for the cost of normal Lost units (round off to two decimal places).

C. Compute for the unit cost of the Finished & Transferred units after the adjustments. (round off to two decimal places).

D. Compute for the costs of the abnormal lost units (round off to two decimal places).

E. Compute for the finished and transferred costs before the adjustments.
