On January 1, 2016, Jefferson Manufacturing Company purchased equipment for $212,000. Jefferson paid $4,000 to have the machine installed. The equipment is expected to have a 5 year useful life and a salvage value of $26,000. The equipment is expected to produce 1,000,000 units over its useful life. In 2016, 150,000 units were produced. 225,000 were produced in 2017.
