Consider a compton collision between a horizontally traveling 376 PHz photon and a zinc metal surface with a ground state electron having a total energy of 13.6(Z-1)(Z-1)eV, where Z is an atomic number of zinc. An electron is knocked out at a speed of 20500 km/s at an angle of 320 relative to horizontal and a photon is scattered due to this collision. Before collision, calculate:

a) Potential energy of an electron if is six Borh radius away from nucleus, and

b)Kinetic energy of an electron as it orbits nucleus.

After collision, calculate:

c) Work function of Zinc metal,

d) Stopping voltage of an ejected electron,

e) Momentum of ejected electron, considering its high speed, and

f) Wavelength of a photon scattered at 570 angle relative to horizontal.
