Question

One PMHNP competency that I plan to develop in this clinical experience is learning to perform a comprehensive psychiatric assessment that includes a mental status examination with risk assessment on different age populations. In my upcoming clinical rotation, I will have the opportunity to perform this assessment with patients across the life span. Per my preceptor for this term, she sees patients anywhere from 5 years old to 80 years old.
