Question

Ross makes the following two deposits into his bank account: $1,500 in 6 months and $2,400 in 12 months. The bank pays interest at 5% p.a. compounded half-yearly for the first 24 months and 4.5% p.a. compounded quarterly thereafter. How much is in Ross's bank after 3 years? (Correct to the nearest cent.).
