Question: Please answer both of the following Forum Questions:
As identified by research regarding both traditional and online education, higher forms of learning take place when students are able to take an active part in curriculum development.
Subsequently, this week the questions are a bit different from those weeks before and after.
Rather than me posting a series of questions, each of you will instead develop a graduate level question (i.e., not simply one which can be answered via regurgitation and no original thought), and then you will answer the very question you composed.
1: Compose a graduate level question related to any of the topics covered in this week''s readings regarding the well known (arguably the most famous Italian Mafia group) Cosa Nostra or the newer Italian Mafia organization known as Calabrian ''Ndrangheta.
Note: In forming your question, one of the following verbs must be used: argue, interpret, assess, defend, propose, develop, analyze, or compare.
2: Fully answer the question you have created.
Note: Only Forum question #2 must be a "minimum" of 500 words of content (does not count references and or restating a question) and only DQ#2 must include "at least" two different and properly referenced sources, in accordance with APA 6th edition, for full credit. Again there is no minimum length or source requirement for Forum question #1 this week.
Now as always, within your post, please place the first response (i.e., your draft question this week) on top of the second Forum response (i.e., your response to the question you composed), i.e., both Forum responses should be in the same post within the Forum.
Again, this is an approach that teaching research has shown to be very capable of not only including a much wider variety of topics and discussions but to also aid enhanced learning for all
Participation (Due NLT Sunday of Week 3):
As a follow up read the postings of your classmates and post "at least" two replies (as a minimum). This can be an opinion, follow-up question, discussion, remark, argument, or agreement about what was stated. Remember to stay professional in your postings. You are free to disagree or agree with something that someone has said, but you must clearly show why. Discuss how you feel their postings relate or are different from your own. Feel free to debate points, and hold a discussion!
Note: Each participation response should be a "minimum" of 300 words each (does not count references and or restating what a classmate said) and include "at least" one properly referenced source each (in accordance with APA 6th edition), for full credit. Please see the syllabus for what constitutes a "substantive" participation response.
