Question

Recommend a general approach that would be helpful when completing a physical assessment on a pediatric patient. The physical examination must always use a head-to-toe method. Perform an infant physical examination in a head-to-toe sequence, similar to an adult. Avoid providing adolescents with explanations regarding body systems because of egocentricities. Therapeutic hugging is appropriate when completing the physical examination.
