To begin this discussion board assignment, complete the two-step Goal Setting Worksheet download. The first step is to identify what matters to you; in other words, what you value. Complete the chart on page one of the worksheet.
Once you have identified your values, select one for which you will write a goal. Use the second page of the worksheet to work through this. The goal statement is the final step in this process. It must be SMART, robust, and more than one sentence long.
Once you have written your goal statement, post it to the discussion board. Respond to at least three of your peers' goal statements, providing one compliment (strength of their statement) and one thing they may want to consider. Assist each other to ensure your goals are SMART.
After receiving peer feedback, you should amend your goal statement for inclusion in the portfolio. For the portfolio, be sure your goal statement addresses all of the areas on the goals worksheet.
