Internet Assignment -

This assignment requires that you complete the Five Factor Personality Test.

The following instructions apply.

1. Complete the test on the Internet and print a copy of your results.

2. Compose a report (NOTE: The report must be typed.)

a. Explain the purpose of the test. That is, what is the test supposed to reveal? Use one paragraph only. Be certain to use your own words. When composing this paragraph (and the other six paragraphs listed below), assume that the reader of your report is not familiar with this test or any other personality test.

b. Explain your results. Use five separate short paragraphs. For each paragraph:

i. Give the name of the factor (e.g., Extraversion), the score you received, and whether this score is relatively low, about average, or relatively high.

ii. Briefly state in your own words what the score indicates about you. Do not merely repeat the words used in the report.

iii. Finally, state how accurately you believe the score pertains to you. Do you agree with the score? Why or why not? Give an example.

c. Write a single paragraph stating how the results might be useful to you. Did you learn anything about yourself, or do the results merely confirm what you already knew? If you found the results to be somewhat accurate, how do they relate to the college major you have chosen, or are thinking about choosing? Indicate how you might be able to apply the results to-your daily life (interpersonal relationships, school, work, etc.).

3. Include a cover sheet with your name, title of the project (Five Factor Results), due date, day and time class meets, and your instructor's name. NOTE: Place your name on the cover sheet only.

4. Attach the printed results to the report.

5. Please note that your instructor will be looking for insight on your part in each paragraph, not just a repetition of the test authors' remarks.
