Eportfolio and Professional Profile Assignment -
ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW - As a final Master of Public Health (MPH) requirement and in order to synthesize the Culminating Experience and the accompanying learning, you are required to satisfactorily complete an ePortfolio based on your culminating MPH program experience and present a comprehensive resume outlining your strengths, professional experiences, and competencies.
The ePortfolio will demonstrate competencies in core public health knowledge areas through evidence from your academic classes, practice-based activities, volunteer experiences, internship, and engagement with the profession (e.g. professional organizations, conferences, etc.).
Creating an e-Portfolio helps you reflect upon and demonstrate:
- The responsibilities and competencies, or skills, required for a masters level public health professional.
- Leadership, team, and communication skills gained from the MPH program.
- A synthesis between each of the MPH courses completed.
The ePortfolio also showcases your ability to apply these skills in public health practice and can serve as an electronic resume when entering the job market as a public health professional. The ePortfolio should not just be a litany of facts, but must show evidence of critical thinking and reflective writing.
Examples of Excellent ePortfolios:

- Video: An Example of an Excellent ePortfolio.
- Website: ePortfolio Gallery (Clemson University).
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS -
The MPH ePortfolio is an opportunity to expand self-awareness through focused reflections and highlight personal and professional growth. Without reflection, ePortfolios are simply an enhanced electronic resume or a digital scrapbook. Self-reflection, creativity, critical thinking, and synthesis across courses and public health experiences are required to turn an ePortfolio into evidence of deeper public health learning.
