The scheduling nurse, Mrs. Mathew, had noticed that circulating nurses always try to schedule their breaks while Dr. Combs operates. If not able to schedule a break, they plead being sick, complaining of some pain or ailment. After some investigation, the nurse found out that Dr. Combs, who is planning to retire this year, often comes to work intoxicated. Other doctors know about it and do anything they can to assist him during surgeries and cover for him. The nurse went to HR to report Dr. Combs and get some guidance.
