The Goal

Cell theory states that all living things are composed of cells, and all cells arise from previously existing cells. But it isn't that simple because there are two cell types on earth: prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Distinguishing the two cell types and their characteristics is an important foundation moving forward. You will compare and contrast the two cell types and describe the characteristics of each.
