Perform the following tasks:

Step 1: Select two schools of jurisprudential thought.
Use descriptions from your readings in this lesson (the textbook and the lesson presentation) as a starting point.

Step 2: Locate the ruling in a noted legal case.
Select a prominent case that interests you. For example, locate the Supreme Court's ruling for Brown v. Board of Education, 347 U.S. 483 (1954).

Step 3: Write a one-page analysis of the ruling in terms of two different schools of thought.
Using a word processor (such as MS Word), write your analysis of the ruling in the case, in terms of the two schools of jurisdictional thought you selected in Step 1. For example, explain whether the decision shows adherence to the historical school of jurisprudential thought or the sociological school of thought. Make sure that you properly cite any resources used.

Step 4: Save and submit your assignment.
