Assessment Description

The essay assessment develops the research, analysis and writing skills that you gained from completing the Journal Article Review assignment (AT2) by applying them to writing an academic essay. The purpose of this assessment task is to develop and assess your knowledge about a key managerial issue. You are expected to cite at least five (05) academic journal articles in your essay to demonstrate the range of sources from which you derived your knowledge.

The assessment will require you to compare the articles and provide examples of application of theory to real world practice through research. The assessment is to be completed individually.

Note: You are expected to support/challenge your finding against empirical/peer reviewed literature that is dated in last five years. You are to find 05 peer reviewed literature sources and incorporate your findings into final write up.

For this purpose, you will continue with the same management topic that you have selected for AT2. However, you will need to select and use 05 journal articles to compare and contrast the findings.

It is recommended that you use the ProQuest database (available via CIM Library webpage) to find the academic journal article publications.

You need to clearly explain:

a) The findings/results from each of the journal article;

b) How the findings/results are different/similar to the other articles;

c) Discuss the relevance of recommendations/limitations of each of the journal article.
