Next, compare one of these democratic polities with Mexico and Vietnam. Your graph should display a trend line of three countries (a democratic one, and Mexico and Vietnam). You should select an indicator that measures democratic stability, backsliding, OR authoritarianism. V-Dem provides many indicators, some of which are irrelevant to this exercise (such as Academic Freedom), it is up to you to select an indicator that demonstrates the differences between a democratic polity, and various types of authoritarianism.
