As general manager of the company Bolígrafos Exactos SA, dedicated to the manufacture of articles for writing and drawing, specialized in two types of pens for architectural designs: Gaudí Fino Trazo and Meier Exactum, you are considering the possibility of changing the costing system to these two products.

  • Currently, Bolígrafos Exactos S.A. uses a cost system based on units produced. However, you feel that the company must switch to an activity-based costing system. You believe this change would provide you with more accurate cost information, allowing for better strategic decision making. A series of documents needs to be prepared to present to the company's chief financial officer, CFO, to consider changing the cost management system used by your company today for the two types of pens.
