Cohesiveness is an important key to collaboration, but its disadvantages must be seriously considered because they sometimes outweigh the advantages.

Define and compare cohesiveness and collaboration. Discuss methods to help build a cohesive team without building disadvantages.

Conflict is the natural by-product of human complexity and interaction. Although conflicts are inevitable, they are manageable. Teams who do not manage their conflicts are doomed to quick disintegration.

Assume that you, as a leader, are already convinced that conflict is a necessary evil. The next step you must learn is how to acknowledge and manage it if you cannot completely avoid it.
