AFL is a teaching strategy that evaluates student performance and generates feedback for students to help them improve their academic performance or the teacher's teaching methods. Formative and summative assessments can be used for this. AFL might be advantageous or harmful depending on the learner's aptitude. It will not be helpful in recognizing all students' skills if the teacher utilizes an AFL that is inappropriate for the learning competency.
An AFL that is suited to the highlighted abilities should be created by the teacher, whether it be formative or summative. The teacher may use the following kinds of assessments because "describe" and "differentiate" are under "Remember" and "Understand" in the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy:
For Describe:
The teacher may assign shorter essays for "describe" so that students can use their own words to explain the purpose, sampling strategy, and methodology of the research.
Because multiple choice assessments do not provide students or learners the chance to "describe" research in their own terms, teachers should avoid using them.
For "differentiate,"
For the students' assessments, the teacher may utilise brief essays or graphic organisers to "differentiate" or compare and contrast quantitative and qualitative research.
