Compare and contrast gender roles in the "old country" (the Dominican Republic) versus the United States.

There are some pretty significant role differences between the Dominican Republic and the United States during the 1950's and even more so in today's society as there has been a transition of roles in the U.S. in the decades since.

Alvarez explained that Dominican women are out casted & regularly discriminated on the basis of a societal norm which is not only done within society but also politically rather than women in the United States.

The topic of the paper is "GENDER ROLE DIFFERENCES IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND UNITED STATES." It is actually the thesis statement and implemented in the report. The paper asked to write the 300 words in the introductory topic. Gender position conflicts between the United States and the Dominican Republic are important, and those who migrate to the states are, usually not keen to switch their positions. The old Dominican family leads to be patriarchal, the man is the commander of the house and demands authority over the home resources, and they have ultimate jurisdiction over household members and their choices. The Dominican females in groups are bound to household duties, and subsistence whereas those sexuality part lines in the United States have been obscured, and females do not have a particular function in the community.

Please check the comments on my work, take care while you work on it. 1. Writing is choppy and rough. 2. No outline and hence no identifiable logical order or connection between ideas, though by connecting sentences together, the writer seems to be trying to do so. 3. No conclusion – the writing just drifts along and then stops. Same as D, but no effort is made by the writer to even write in meaningful individual sentences. Also sentences don’t connect with one another. Or the entire effort revolves around one vague idea or anecdote.

1. Same as A, but thesis needs sharpening and hence does not guide the outline as clearly. 2. Opening leads into thesis but is abstract. 3. Most of the ideas and examples in the outline develop and support the thesis and reflect learning and knowledge from the course. One idea needs tightening. 4. Transitions connect most ideas with the thesis. 5. Most ideas and examples follow in a logical order and are connected to each other bringing some unity and coherence. 6. The conclusion summarizes main points, but needs polish. 1. Paper is disorganized because though there is an outline, it mixes up ideas and thoughts about the novel. Unity and coherence are lost. 2. Paper tries to open with a thesis, but it is fuzzy and hence does not direct the development of thought. 3. Transitions connect some ideas to the thesis. At least one example is inserted, but is sketchy. 4. There are occasional lapses in logical order and connection of ideas. 5. Short conclusion that does not really tie things together.
