Scenario H002 

The People Services Department of the University of Eastern Jamaica (UEJ) has employed Marvette Bucknor as the Chief Accountant. Marcus Jacks who have been acting as Chief Accountant for some THREE (3) years was hoping to become permanent. Marcus explained that he belied that the Labrinth of leadership is what has affected him as a minority living in Jamaica. Marcus also explained that he believes Mrs. Bucknor is not well suited to be a leader as she often becomes quickly agitated by subordinates who ask questions. On one occasion he explained that she was asked to explain the budget and went on a rant over the questions being ask. She often believed that it's a war between genders in her department.

  2. THREE (3) ways in which leaders can improve emotional intelligence. You are required to justify how each approach will improve effective team relationships. 
  3. Describe any TWO (2) leadership issues in the Scenario H002 and provide a detailed solution for these. You must justify how your approach will resolve the problem and prevent re-occurrence.
