You are an expert in food safety law and the company you work for is launching a new line of meat products to try and keep up with consumer's increasing demands for local grass fed proteins. The company found a bunch of family farms in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri who are going to supply you with their beef and the company you work for is going to sell it under the label "Sam's Heartland Grown Grass Fed Angus Beef."

You've been put in charge of making sure the labels for these new products are up to date. Give them any tips about the following:

1. The farmers assured us that most of their stock are Angus cattle, but that there may be a few other things mixed in. I don't think that's a problem, do you? I mean it should only be a few animals here and there.

2. Marketing really wants to call this pastured or pasture raised beef but I don't know if we can. Cows eat grass right?? I just don't want us to get caught saying that our stuff is pasture raised when maybe it isn't. How do we know whether we can call it pasture raised? Is there any way we can make sure that these farmers are complying with whatever standard applies, too?

3. Some of these farmers are organic and some aren't. Can we just say that the products are organic? If we cannot say they are organic, can we say they are "all natural?"
