Airbnb created the ideal solution for renters and providers across the U.S. Since its launch in August of 2008, Airbnb started an innovative community marketplace for people (Guest and Host) to list, locate, and book a variety of accommodations around the world. After its inception, Airbnb expanded to include properties in the market between hotels and staying in other people's homes. The idea started off slowly as people thought the idea was weird and creepy. Airbnb is privately owned and located in San Francisco, CA. The website has over 500,000 listings in 33,000 cities and 192 countries across the world. Airbnb has developed a new industry of peer to peer accommodation rentals, which leaves room for the company's potential growth and worldwide acceptance.
