Shawn the regional manager for Quality Seafood Inc. called Mike, one of the companies sales representatives, into his office for a one on one meeting. Shawn asked Mike how to local management was treating him. Mike responded that he was being treated fine but some of the managers needed to go back to training as they were treating the employees really bad. Shawn then told him that there was a rumor that the sales representative were threatening to organize a union. Mike said he knew nothing about that. During the course of the meeting they also discussed an anticipated employee bonus that had been drastically reduced and Shawn explained that this was dependent on how the company performed.
