Learning Outcome 1: Manage database network (client/ server) connections using Database Net Services.

Learning Outcome 3: Working with Distributed Databases.

Assignment Objective

The objective is to enable the student to work on a relational database server and involve in creating, securing and maintaining of objects needed for databases and implement database security policies. The theoretical design aspects of ER diagrams that were learnt in the pre- requisite module are being reinforced on implementation mode. Hence, student's ability to think and engage with the topic is tested.

Assignment Tasks

1) Task 1 - Submit a work proposal for this assignment on or before 18/12/2020 (23:59) which must include:
• Understanding of deliverables - a detail description of deliverables.
• General overview of proposed plan - initial understanding of solution to all the tasks.

• Resources identified for completion of the given tasks.
The work proposal must be submitted in a word file through the link available in Moodle.

2) Task 2 - Discuss any five data dictionary views which provides key information to the Database Administrator.
The solution for the task-2 must be given in your own words with relevant examples not exceeding 500 words.

3) Task 3 - Write a reflective report on the research article "Research on the Distributed Big Data Management of Bank Based on the Three-tier C/S model" in your own words. It is to be noted that reflection should cover all the important aspects of C/S and databases that are covered in the article and should not exceed 500 words. A copy of the above said research article will be provided in Moodle. The solution for the task-4 must be given in your own words with relevant examples not exceeding 500 words.

4) Task 4 - Server systems are broadly categorized as transaction servers and data servers. Differentiate between these two types of servers suggesting the type of application for each.
