Question

BHS met with the client at her residence to assist the client into the community to coordinate with the Child Support Admistantor Office. BHS assisted the client to reduce the client's anxiety associated with feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. BHS asked open-ended questions to assess and monitor the client's progress since the last scheduled session. Client stated " i have been stressing out all over this , i do not understand why i have to do this when it was determined that I would not have to pay due to the fact that i am disabled and don't bring in anything for income". BHS validated and supported the client's feelings while engaging the client in deep breathing to relieve the client's frustrations and anxiety . After approximately 4 minutes of deep breathing , client was able to openly discussed her concerns and needs without experiencing an increase of symptoms. BHS educated the client on the possibility of reason why she has received this redetermination ; client's child's father reapplying for state benefits and/or client's child support order was requested to be reviewed.
