Northside Community Centre (NCC) Support Equipment Policy The role of the Community Support worker is to actively support and monitor the use of support equipment to their clients. This includes: Selecting, in conjunction with their client, the most appropriate support equipment to meet the client's needs Assemble support equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines. This includes making any adjustments adjustments to meet the client's needs eg adjust height of seat or handles To ensure the equipment is fit for purpose and safe for the client, check it has been assembled 100% correctly. This also applies to pre assembled equipment Test the equipment to make sure it is working correctly Demonstrate the use of the equipment in accordance with the client's assessed needs and care plan Observe and monitor the client's confidence and use of the item Follow-up, prompt, motivate and encourage the person in their use of support equipment.Based on the above policies and procedures, what are you required to do once you have assembled the support equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines?
