What are the advantages of using a systematic approach to work through research problems from example below?
While researching the teen pregnancy population within the community, I have found that this study can be determined as a mixed method of study. It can be determined mixed because it can be approached in a systematic way by researching different communities and finding out what are some of the influences in our communities that play a major role in the rise of teen pregnancy. Are our communities or what's inside our communities playing a key role in the increase of teens becoming pregnant. Are our schools playing a role and what are some of the key factors that contribute to this rise in numbers?
Attempting to gain a deeper understanding of the subject will be to consult with parents of the teens and the teens themselves. Is sex education not being taught within the school system. Obtaining the numbers from health units and local hospitals will determine if there really is a problem with teen pregnancy within our communities. Studies have shown a 61% decline in teen pregnancies, but yet geographic and racial differences show different. In 2014, Blacks and Hispanic Teen's birth rates were still higher than White Teens and American Natives (Fuller et al., 2018).
JSI, research, and training institute, along with CDC conducted what you would call a root cause analysis (RCA), to identify the underlying cause of the problem is more effective than efficient than focusing on the symptoms. It allowed for those who live within the communities to work together to improve conditions for vulnerable youth in the communities which leads to a career, academic training, and technical training.
