Scenario (Problem analysis and resolution)

Title: Strukturo Tube

Sales are down at Strukturo Tube. According to the financial statements, the company is far from having achieved its objectives. An investigation revealed various problems.

  • There is a little communication between the commercial management, the financial management, the marketing management and the production management.
  • The absenteeism rate is high.
  • Staff are demotivated and claims management is unaware of what is going on. There are rumors of layoffs.
  • Managers claim to give clear orders and accuse staff of being lazy.

Your management consulting firm has a mandate to correct the situation. You need to make an action plan to improve the company's management style, communications, and motivational strategies. Explain to management why the issues discussed are driving sales down and present your solutions.
