Topic: Common ethical challenges/dilemmas

In unit 4, we will discuss common ethical challenges/dilemmas of organizations. This includes people issues, conflict of interest, customer confidence issues, use of corporate resources, and blowing the whistle. Search for big companies that have faced common ethical challenges/dilemmas (all around the world). Choose a big company and write a report related to this by answering the following questions:

1. Explain the history and mission of the company and the product or service that the company offers.

2. Identify the ethical challenge/dilemma that the company faced and the action/strategy that the management team took for dealing with the case.

3. Follow three steps of the consequentialist analysis we discussed in class to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the action of the company on the stakeholders. Please use the cost-benefit analysis table for better visualization.

4. Have a relevant conclusion of the cost-benefit analysis result and explain if the company was successful in managing the situation. Why?
