The initial step of Selection of an appropriate candidate for a job after identifying the KSAOs required from the candidate is Recruitment. Here, to hire an HR recruiter, a well-planned recruitment process should be prepared that aligns with its job description. The recruitment plan should be strategically constructed so that at the end of this process, a talent pool of aspiring HR recruiters should be created among which, the best candidate for the job will be chosen through Selection. As the textbook mentions, Recruitment should be performed keeping in consideration various constraints of a business that are its external factors, internal factors, organizational analysis, and Human Resources Planning for the process to be successful (Catano et al, 2019). So, the specialized KSAOs for the job of HR Recruiter should align with its job description, organizational goal, legislation, competition, cost containment, demographics, etc. Using more methods to hire candidates gives us a large pool of candidates to choose from, but the methods should also be efficient and cost friendly at the same time. Hence, keeping all these constraints in consideration, the following methods will be implemented.

Firstly, Internal recruiting through internal job postings and internal promotion are efficient methods of looking for qualified candidates as the employees are already familiar with the organizational culture and the whole procedure would be easier. Employee Referral inside the company also allows the present employee from the same or different department to introduce an available candidate with the appropriate KSAOs to the Hiring Manager.

Hiring externally through Job Advertisements is also the most common and efficient method of Recruitment. The Job Advertisements should be simply written yet inclusive of all the requirements like specifying the role, providing knowledge about the company, providing contact details and no exaggerations on the requirement (Catano, et al, 2019). Employment Agencies are independent organizations who attempt to find a match between a job seeker and an employer. In Ontario there are various agencies like Randstad and Human Resources Canada Centers which can be a good source of the right candidate for the job.

Presently, Human Resources Management Courses are comparably more recognised and prioritized than a few years back due to which the number of students studying it are substantially increasing. This shows that we as recruiters, can strategize on this opportunity by partnering with educational institutions and recruit potential candidates through Educational Institutions such as colleges and universities. This could turn out to be a win-win situation for recruiters and the students too.

Additionally, Internet recruiting through apps like LinkedIn where the info on candidates is available that assists us to determine if they have the right KSAOs for the job. Posting Job Vacancy on Job sites like Indeed or Employment Ontario where Job Posting is free for employers because almost all the candidates apply online including the HR personnel.
