Assignment Brief
You are employed as an assistant design engineer for an electrical installation company. The company only undertakes electrical installations for commercial clients (non-domestic). You have been asked by the Senior Electrical Engineer to prepare the following two documents for use in internal training of electrical engineering apprentices
Document 1
This will be a presentation using software of your choice and will detail the following elements.
An evaluation of your design, in terms of safety, performance for a range of electrical and magnetic circuits, including transformers, for a given non- domestic application. The circuits will be provided as an addendum to the assignment.
An assessment of the health and safety aspects of your design in meeting all electrical regulations
A handout of your electrical design is to be made available for review, size A3 plus calculation sheets
Document 2
This will be a formal report and will detail the following elements.
A design for a motor for a passenger lift operation to include , calculations on performance, the selection of a suitable motor and an analysis on AC/DC motor principles comparing them for this context Need Immediate Assignment Help? Click Here to Get Assistance!
An explanation of the different methods that can be used to distribute electricity, including all associated equipment
Calculations, circuit schematics, distribution diagrams for circuits and your recommendations for the selection of a distribution panel
A discussion on the principles of lighting design and installation and its inter-relationship with electrical circuit design
A lighting design for a given non-domestic application to include circuit and distribution diagrams
