Unlike EBP and research, CQI typically requires limited literature reviews and rigorous appraisals, an aspect that involves the nurses in CQI projects. An instance of this is evident in the implementation of processes aimed at the removal or urinary catheters within a given time frame, the development of processes aimed at improving wound-care documentation, and the improvement of processes aimed at promoting patient education for specific chronic ailment.
