Employment Barriers
Another area of challenge that affects Indigenous Peoples is the rate of unemployment in their communities. It stems from a history of abuse which results in crushing poverty, poor health, low self-esteem, broken families and lower than average achievements in education.

Educational Barriers
It only is logical that we come to the topic of education. Another huge challenge to Indigenous students enrolled in on-reserve schools is that they are facing crowded classrooms, limited resources and a lack of expertise to preserve language and culture.
