1. Social Identity and Aging

2. Alternative Housing for Seniors
In Megan Easton's "Roomies with a Twist" and Kristy Woudstra's "Why Seniors and Students Make the Best Roomies," we learn about the many personal and financial benefits of intergenerational home sharing for both students and seniors.Multigenerational co-housing communities or senior co-living projects are two other models for older Canadians interested in non-traditional housing options.
What is the role of home care in these sorts of co-living arrangements? How might Personal Support Workers be involved in such co-care communities? 3. Technology and Social Isolation
In Gisele Galoustian's "Robotic Cats are ‘Purr-fect' Companions for Isolated Seniors" and Paula Span's "Robo-Pets for Comfort in Isolating Times," we learn about robotic pets as one potential solution to the social isolation that often afflicts older adults. Many seniors have also embraced other forms of technology, such as social media or online gaming, as a way of staying connected to friends, family, and larger community groups.
