The data (Anxiety) come from a study designed to investigate if a new therapeutic information session for use with children and young adults is effective at reducing anxiety, especially during a stressful and invasive medical procedure. A group of subjects was given a pre-test ("Pretest") for anxiety level using a standardized anxiety measure. Half (randomly selected) of the subjects were then given a therapeutic information session designed to forewarn them about the discomforts they might experience during the procedure (treatment group). The remaining subjects were only told what would actually occur during the procedure but were not told of the discomforts they might experience (control group). After the information session standardized anxiety test was performed again ("Posttest") and following this post-test all subjects underwent the medical procedure. Three days after the procedure as part of a diagnostic follow-up, subjects were asked to report on a 12-point rating scale how stressful they believed the procedure had been for them. Identify all variables of this data set and their level of measurement.
