Combining science and activism are essential and effective because people can hear what other people have to say and forms collaborations between citizens and scientists emerge. With more scientist activism coming forward and spreading the message about climate change we could see a change turning at some point. A quote from ABC Science states "They've known they're taking us to the brink of irreversible catastrophe - all the wildfires, the floods, the rising seas, the lowering crop yields, and crop failures, they knew all of this 30 years ago." This show that if citizens and scientists don't act now and take the lead to the government about climate change who knows what might happen in the next 30 years? Science without activism and activism without science often ineffective is because they usually provoke an uncomfortable reaction as well Sometimes political or religious activism even stands against scientific research, and it tries to stop or prohibit certain developments. Many activists depend on scientists' knowledge for their claims about climate change and other irreversible catastrophes that are happing around the globe.
